Bulgarian-American Center Madara success in raising funds for STEP Bulgaria 2010 Summer Academy
On March 07, 2010, in Medford MA, the Bulgarian-American Center Madara hosted a festive concert to celebrate Bulgaria's independence day. This was a very special event for Step for Bulgaria Foundation as the organizers had graciously invited us to become the benefactors of their fundraising efforts for the day. The result was a marvelous success: $1200 raised for the STEP Bulgaria 2010 Summer Academy!
Our perennial supporter Mr. Emil Wyss from Swissnex Boston attended the event and provided a funding match on behalf of Swissnex for the first $500 gathered at the event. Step for Bulgaria volunteers from last summer Georgi Kardzhaliiski, Michael Crommett and Thomas Carlosn shared with the guests their experiences. A HUGE Thank you! to our partners from Center Madara, Emil Wyss, Swissnex Boston, our volunteers, and all the people who believed in our cause and donated funds for the upcoming Summer Academy!
